The SEO Trends tab graphs traffic and SEO data over time and enables you to compare query segments, devices, or periods of time.

Choose what you’d like to compare:

  • Compare Segments – Choose up to four query segments to chart in the graphs. You can aggregate data from all devices or filter the data by device. Choose the date range to view on the graphs and choose a previous date range to calculate percentage change details in the summary section.
  • Compare Dates – Choose one query segment (or all queries) to chart in the graphs. You can aggregate data from all devices or filter the data by device. Choose two date ranges to chart in the graphs. (These two date ranges will also be used to calculate percentage change details in the summary section.)
  • Compare Devices – Choose one query segment (or all queries) to chart in the graphs. Choose the devices to chart in the graphs. Choose the date range to view on the graphs and choose a previous date range to calculate percentage change details in the summary section.

Comparing Query Segments

When viewing trends for a single duration of time, you can compare up to four query segments and can filter the data by device.

Comparing Query Data

Once you’ve configured the graphs, you can choose to display total estimated traffic (if Google Analytics is integrated) or Google-provided traffic for those segments.

Typically, you’ll likely want to display total estimated traffic, but Google-provided traffic is useful if you’re specifically analyzing Google Search Console data.
